The INTERACT user interface is easy to understand for anyone who proceeded one of the simple "get me started" examples from the printed manual. This is key because we know you don't want to spend too much time in understanding how to use the software but you want to get results fast.

INTERACT has an easy to use user interface, which offers all the functionality you need in a well organized menu and wizard structure. Start your first analysis within minutes!
INTERACT is Multifunctional
INTERACT allows you to open a practically unlimited number of video files for simultaneous analysis, only limited to the power of the used computer.
INTERACT can use any type of video file (*.AVI, *.MPG, *.DivX, *.X264, *.XviD...) that can also be played with the windows media player, assuming that the used video codec provides accurate time information.
More than that INTERACT has also a built-in native Apple QuickTime(R) (*.mov) support, allowing you to even use videos footage created on a MAC!
During data logging (also called "coding") you can choose between "time sampling" or "event sampling" and "live observation" and "video analysis" - all in one tool - and all mixed in whatever way you like during one single analysis session!

Data Analysis With INTERACT
The integrated ''Time Line Chart'' provides a graphical representation of the coded behavior like ''what happened when''.
This makes it easy to immediately see interesting behavioral patterns without the need of doing statistical analysis first. Zooming in on your data can quickly give you enlightening insights for which you normally would have needed to do lots of statistical analysis first.
A mouse-click into the graph will wind the video to the corresponding picture or play the selected sequence immediately.

Get Impressive Statistics Within Minutes
INTERACT includes a variety of statistical analysis and export routines. With this built in functionality the represented data can also be exported as comma separated ASCII file for the further use in any other program (e.g. to SPSS, SAS, Excel).
More than that, INTERACT offers a variety of functionalities which allow you to aggregate, merge, split and combine your data in various ways. Thus, drilling-down in your coded data set and creating new interesting data such as contingency analysis, latency intervals, co-ocurrent codings etc., which you did not code yourself before, is just a few mouse clicks away.

Expand INTERACT to Meet Your Needs!
Build your own extensions and functionalities within INTERACT by using the IXL module! Write your own special import or export filters, data manipulation routines or analysis functions.
The IXL (INTERACT eXtension Language) is based on an easy to understand and easy to maintain object pascal language. It offers the possibility to automate INTERACT tasks and has also a rich set of regular Windows programming functions. Create MS Word or Excel documents from within INTERACT and insert data into it is just one of the unlimited possibilities.
Those newly created functions integrate seamless into the INTERACT main menu. This allows you to easily exchange such plug-ins with your research partners or coding staff. They will be able to use your individual special functionalities by simply calling it from the main menu!
